Method 1

1. Turn off the mobile Phone.
2. Press and Hold the following three buttons: Green Call Answer button + the “*” button + number “3″ button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. When the message ‘Formatting’ appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.

Method 2

1. Switch off your Nokia mobile phone
2. Now Press following key sequence *#7370#
3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.
4. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
5. Wait for message ‘Formatting’ to appear on the screen and release all keys once you see that message.

> No need to give security code, you can format the phone and reset security code as well.

From method 2

> You have to give the exact security code other wise this wont work, this will format your phone, and

From method 3

> This will reset settings of the phone to default, it's not formatting, have to give security too

here is another trick for you guys.

this works on some Nokia smart phones only, tested on 7610 (old) and some of other s60

When the phone is locked:
>go to unlock,
>type the numbers, 112 and dial as many times you can until your phone gets hanged
>wait until it restarts

that's all...phone will restart automatically and you don't have to give a pin or security code
